Multiple Regions Strengthen Safety Controls for Oxidizer Transportation to Strictly Prevent Safety Accidents Caused by Illegal Mixed Transport
Release time:2026-03-20
To mitigate safety risks associated with the transportation of oxidizers, transportation and emergency management authorities in multiple regions have jointly introduced control measures to strengthen end-to-end oversight of the transport of oxidizers and organic peroxides, strictly prohibit unauthorized mixed shipments, and ensure transportation safety to the greatest extent possible.
According to reports, oxidizers and organic peroxides possess strong oxidizing properties and can easily trigger explosions or fires when in contact with combustibles, flammable liquids, or flammable solids; therefore, they are explicitly required to be transported separately and strictly prohibited from being mixed during transport with flammable, combustible, or acidic substances. Under the newly implemented control measures, relevant transportation enterprises must rigorously fulfill their principal responsibilities, conduct specialized inspections of transport vehicles to ensure that all safety protection equipment is fully equipped, and require that drivers and escorts undergo professional training and pass the corresponding qualification assessment before taking up their posts.
Meanwhile, law enforcement agencies will intensify inspections on roads and at ports, with a particular focus on identifying violations such as the illegal mixed transportation of oxidizers, failure to equip vehicles with required safety devices, and failure to file necessary declarations. Any violations discovered will be rigorously investigated and prosecuted in accordance with the law. In addition, relevant authorities will conduct safety awareness campaigns and training programs to enhance the safety consciousness of transport enterprises and personnel, standardize transport operating procedures, and effectively prevent safety incidents.
